Aluminum Profile Plant
VMK Invest, Ltd. was founded on February 26, 2007.
High demands of startup owners for the product quality were fundamental for the
choice of equipment.
Business results of the new company are the high-tech foundry complex and the extrusion
line for production of aluminum profile featuring the state-of-the-art
technology, which allows for high quality finished product without further
treatment.
Aluminum profile plant is staffed with a highly qualified personnel with 10+
years of experience in the aluminum industry. This great wealth of experience
gained over many years of working at various aluminum production plants has
paved the best ways to streamline the document flow, and to achieve a high
quality execution of orders of any size and complexity.
Foundry facilities
are equipped with the following:
- 20-ton stationary reverberatory gas furnace for aluminum melting
with regenerative burner systems and inductive electromagnetic stirring of
the melt;
- 15-ton tilting holding furnace (mixer) to prepare the metal to the
casting (technological residue necessary for further processing remains in
the stationary furnace);
- Homogenization heat treatment line.
The ingots are casted in water-cooled
molds at the casting table using the Hot Top method of vertical continuous
casting.
All the equipment is fitted with modern control systems with infrared sensors.
The foundry and casting equipment allows the production of ingots with a
diameter of 178 mm (7 inches) with the quality meeting the requirements of the
State Standard (ГОСТ) No. 23855-79. The ingots can be manufactured from alloys
with a different chemical composition, such as AD-31, AD-33, AD-35, in
accordance with the State Standard (ГОСТ) No. 4784-97, or AW-6060, AW-6063,
AW-6082, in accordance with the requirements of the European Standard No. EN
573-2001, issued in 2001.
Extrusion facilities are equipped with
the following:
high performance line for the production
of high-speed extrusion profile manufactured by OMAV (Italy),
including a 1800 metric ton Presezzi(Italy)
extrusion press.
Technical specifications of the press:
- Press tonnage: 1823 tons;
- Working pressure: 250 bar;
- Maximum tonnage at 280 bar: 2042 tons;
- Billet diameter: 7'' (178 mm);
- Extrusion speed: 1.3 in/sec (33 mm/sec).
The line is equipped with the
following:
- taper heating furnace;
- hot metal saw;
- press feeder for transferring the cut up billet to the press;
- post-extrusion profile processing line;
- heat treatment furnace for the T1-, T6- and T66-type accelerated aging
of the profile.
The line features the double-length (105
meters) lead-out table and the double puller which reduce the idle cycle time
and increase the line productivity. The line also features a device for intense
balanced profile cooling profile and the high-capacity section stretcher,
allowing to obtain the specified mechanical properties for alloys of different
grades and to manufacture profiles with a large cross-sectional area.
According to the State Standard (ГОСТ)
No. 22233-2001, the maximum diameter of the circumscribed circle of the profile
is 220 mm, and the minimum wall thickness is 0.9 mm.
The availability of measuring tools and devices allows to control the product
quality at every stage of production. Extrusion equipment made by leading
European manufacturers is being used for the production of aluminum profile.
